The Flat Iron Tapas Bar and Lounge, located in the Bulfinch Hotel, is another reason why the West End/BulFinch Triangle area of the city should not be overlooked. Although they have a creative tapas menu, it is the extraordinary cocktail menu that keeps the Flat Iron regulars coming back for more. With a martini list replete with names like the Mata Hari and Caipiroska, this hotel bars can stand out from the crowd. Red leather benches, beaded curtains, dark wood, and red walls lend a bit of glamour to the scene, where the visual appeal of the drinks and the dishes is as artful as the tastes. Not such a good place for vegetarians, as most of the dishes contain meat and seafood.

Fabulous food at a great price. This take out joint is most widely known by sweet tooth Beacon Hillers as a fro yo hot spot. However, it is so much more than that. Cafe Podima offers by delivery, pick up, or dine in, a vast array of sandwiches, wraps, pizzas, calzones, and soups. Hearty food at a great price, and the calzones really nip that hangover in the bud!

Elegant, clean-cut, modern and minimalist, Ma Soba knows what it means to be chic. Take your pick from an exotic arra y of various Asian cuisines, including Vietnamese noddles, creative sushi, and perpetually-popular Chinese favorites. The delectable coconut shrimp served over crispy noodles ($16.95) will make you want to hug the chef. Entrees $12-18, noddle dishes less expensive.

With 3 location in the Boston area, this TD BankNorth Gardenlocation is the newest of the bunch. Quite large and stock full of massive flat screens for watching every game under the sun, this is the ultimate sports bar. Boston Beer Works made a name for themselves by brewing all of their beer on site and only serving their beer at all locations. Although some of their beers are constant standby's some of their selection changes seasonally. Also known for their large menu full of pub fare classics, Boston Beer Works keeps even the hungriest of Boston sports fans fed. Word to the wise: this place can get very, very crowded when the Boston Celtics or Boston Bruins are playing at the Garden!
